Jordan Vauvert Holon est le one-man band parfait pour entrevoir ce qu'il se passera dans le futur ; mais en ce qui concerne le présent, je sais que je peux compter sur Poesy Rider puisque je n'aurais jamais cherché à connaître Holon et son Experiments Against Reality sans lui. En l'occurrence, on est sur un des albums les plus oppressants, frôlant la synthwave et l'industriel ; après les deux bouteilles d'oxygène qu'étaient Trust The Machine et A New Sun Rises, la noirceur prend ici une saveur assez spéciale ! Favorite track: Uncharted Territory.

Poesy Rider Je suis allé voir un médium et je lui ai demandé : "De quoi l'avenir sera fait ?". Il m'a répondu : "Je ne peux pas vous le dire précisément, mais écoutez Holon et vous aurez déjà une petite idée". J'ai donc écouté, mais n'ai aucune idée pour les deux ans à venir, seulement pour dans cinquante ans... Favorite track: Uncharted Territory.

Un de ces projets que j'ai pris le temps de découvrir grâce à Poesy Rider (qui connaît tous les bons trucs, ça ça ne change pas). Survival Mechanism, premier album de l'entité sylac, fait un mélange de synthwave et de musique industrielle. Ne cherchez pas chez lui les envolées de pure agression comme avec PERTURBATOR ou Carpenter Brut : ici, tout est agencé de manière glaçante ("All According To Plan" dont le titre est cruellement juste), probablement parce que les machines ont déjà gagné... Mark Rydyger est très productif quand il s'agit de créer des albums pour Holon ; pour sylac, il suit plutôt la philosophie du "tout ou rien", Entropic Decay étant sa deuxième sortie de 2021. Dans tous les cas, la qualité est une constante : Entropic Decay est moins agressif et abrasif que Legacy System Collapse mais le sens du rythme est bien plus mis en avant. La machine se connecte à nos synapses et nous contrôle pour nous faire danser et j'aime ça — ou elle me fait croire que j'aime ça... Jordan Vauvert
